Boyd's Ross FT Ruger 77 MKII LA NL VIP

This is a Boyd's FT Ross Thumbhole 98% Finished VIP stock in NUTMEG Laminate.  It fits the Ruger 77/MKII rifle in the Long Action calibers.

This is an UNFINISHED VIP Stock. It is going to require Final Fitting, Final Sanding, and your choice of a Clear Coat.
This stock has been lightened at the Factory by Boyds' Gunstocks.  Weight has been reduced by adding Ventilations to the Fore End and by removing internal wood from the buttstock.  The approx weight of the FT Ross Thumbholes is 2.5lbs depending on the Action and Model.
This stock is cut with a Factory Barrel Channel, but can easily be opened up for the larger diameter barrels using a dowel and sand paper.

The Feather Weight Thumbhole Stock is new from Boyds.  Some of the features of this stock include:
• Flattened forearm conforms naturally to the hand for steady off-hand shooting or control off sandbags
• Side vents permit the free floating barrel to cool
• Large rollover cheekpiece and hand conforming thumbhole allow the shooter to steadily aim and shoot with increased accuracy while distributing the recoil among the palm and shoulder thus minimizing muzzle jump
• Made of Stratabond® Laminate for stability, strength and beauty
• ½” leather-look rubber recoil pad for non-slip shouldering
• Laboratory acid based satin finish proven to resist chemical and harsh weather conditions
• 100% drop in fit – anyone can install

  This is a completely finished stock.  This stock comes with a 1/2 inch recoil pad and had FACTORY INSTALLED swivel studs as well.
These have been fitted with a receiver at the factory and require Little or NO final fitting.
